Fall Schedule
- There are 168 hours in a week
- For the [blank] semester my current commitments look like:
- [18] hours in classes
- [18] hours studying/doing homework
- [8] hours for student org #1
- [6] hours for student org #2
- [15] hours for student org #3
- 56 hours sleeping
- This leaves me with [47] hours left in the week
- Categories not included in this analysis:
- Basic personal care (ex. eating, showering, hair care, etc.)
- Social experiences (ex. hanging out with friends, events, etc.)
- Other self care (ex. watching Netflix, playing video games, fun hobbies, etc.)
[47] hours
- So what can you do with [47] hours? That depends.
- I’m going to split the time [30]:[17]
- [30] hours on personal things
- [17] on other things
Energy Management Tips
- Energy management tips
- You are a person first, and a student second… remember your priorities
- If you are tired, rest… your work will suffer more if you try to push through a difficult moment, than if you take a break and reset
- Sometimes categories can overlap:
- For example, you can watch Netflix while you eat, study with friends
- However sometimes its more beneficial to keep them separate
- I personally don’t study with friends because I find it to be less productive for both activities. I would rather spend intentional time connecting with my friends, separately from doing my homework
- I also feel that some of my professional activities act as a form of self care, contributing to my happiness and fulfillment, so when I do certain activities I don’t need to carve out as much time for self care that week
- However most people don’t feel that way about their work, so be mindful of that and stay true to yourself
